Nice blend of pointed irony and sledge-hammer scathe here, Young Man: I thoroughly approve! Very refreshing after wading through the Parma Violet world of ingratiation, gushing, grovelling – and, I daresay, below the belt gobbling! – which constitutes the overwhelming bulk of the comments made by the ‘I’ll lick yours if you’ll lick mine!’ Brigade. No coincidence, I feel, that only one letter separates ‘like’ and ‘lick’!
    Yours apopleptically,

    • There’s a kind of bitter-sweet irony clinging to this one, as it was partially inspired by the fact that there actually does exist a solitary comment from some poor sap, which has been languishing in the LOMM Commenting Bay Of Unctuous Regret for weeks. It’s not linked to one of my skits so I’ve just left the fucker in there 😀
It was also partially driven by the fact that my long held suspicion that nobody ever reads anybody else’s work in here EVER was rather deliciously confirmed for me only yesterday *chortle*

This came as a hammer blow to me I don’t mind admitting. To think I may have been the cause of this poor soul’s death is something that will haunt me until opening time 😦
